How to install Photoshop Patterns.

PATTERNS (.pat FILES)

Many of our brush sets and texture kits come with custom pattern sets that help create various texture effects. All Photoshop pattern files have a .pat file extension. 

Photoshop CC-2020+ Instructions.

To install a pattern set take the following steps: 

1. In Photoshop open the Patterns Panel (Window > Patterns)
2. Open the fly-out menu and choose Import Patterns... from the list.
3. Locate your .pat file on your hard drive.
4. Click Open to install.

Photoshop CS6 to CC-2019 Instructions.

To install a pattern set take the following steps: 

1. In Photoshop open the Preset Manager (Edit  > Presets > Preset Manager)
2. Select "Patterns" from the drop down menu at the top of the Preset Manager.
3. Click the load button then locate your .pat file on your hard drive.
4. Click Open to install.
