Installing for a Surface Pro is similar to the desktop version but with a few notable differences in the operating system.
Method 1: The Drag and Drop (Fastest)
- Download your files directly to your Surface Pro device.
- Open Clip Studio Paint and make sure you can see the Tool Group panel (previously named the Sub Tool panel).
- Create a new set by duplicating any brush and dragging it into the tabs section at the top of the Tool Group palette.
- Open your File Explorer and locate your downloaded brush files
- On your Surface Pro, snap the two windows side-by-side using Windows split-screen.
- Click and hold the brush files in File Explorer, then drag them directly into the CSP Sub Tool palette.
- Release your stylus or finger. The cursor will show a "+" icon, and the brushes will instantly appear in the list.
- Once installed, you can delete the duplicated brush at the top of the new Tool Group and
Method 2: Import from File
Use this if your tablet doesn't support drag-and-drop.
- Open Clip Studio Paint and select the tool group where you want to add the brush.
- Tap the menu icon (often called a "hamburger" menu with three lines) in the top-left corner of the Sub Tool palette.
- Select Import sub tool....
- Navigate to the downloaded brush file on your Surface Pro, select it, and tap Open.
